PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Bangladesh as chief guest to commemorate Mujib Borsho, the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of the country’s war of liberation. A visit to a famous temple dedicated to goddess Kali and an interaction with the Matua community are part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day trip to Bangladesh. Modi’s visit to the temples revered by Bengali Hindu community coincides with the first phase of elections in West Bengal which has also prompted the opposition TMC to cry foul, accusing the PM of his using the state visit to further the political agenda of his party, BJP.
