Is "real" camembert in danger? To be considered authentic and given the highly-prized Protected Designation of Origin label, the French cheese has to be made with raw cows' milk. some yrs ago four French exchange students stayed in my house for a week and they were actually farmers and brought their own made cheese from France as presents, all sort of different terribly stinky cheese, wow it was so delicious, totally different thing that is available at the stores, nothing matches that genuine French farmers product.
