Living in Florida I’ve been through this before, one hurricane after another hitting us. All those blue tarps bring back bad memories. My heart goes out to all these people and I pray they get the help they need ASAP.

I’m from Lake Charles...the back to back of these two storms was the toughest part....AND without a doubt the hardest part was 44 days with no POWER..
If anything needs inventing it’s getting power from something else than poles that break like tooth picks. Thank God for all the power trucks that come from all over the country to help or wouldn’t have electricity yet.

i like how the shopping carts just stayed in a straight line as they rolled along and then parked themselves in the next group of carts

As soon as I can get through, we are going to help and bring food, clothes, I am asking for donations from as many people as I can get. Let's stand together and start collecting money, and any thing that is needed. People who stand together with others in need will get 20 fold back from God 🙏🙏🙏🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷

It's funny how videos like these only show the marshland, coast, or bigger cities. In southwest Louisiana we have just as much damage. But yet nobody comes to our aid or rescue. This is my last storm I'm riding out in this godforsaken state. I will make future plans to evacuate permanently. This hurricane really hit us hard 😔

Spiritually speaking perhaps it is a sign from God that this area will not be rebuilt. I am not unsympathetic. But its a bit insane to keep putting down roots only to be urooted.

I would hate living that region, people get the shit kicked out of them every hurricane season and it is getting worse.

If there are crocodiles swimming in your den, that may be a good time to relocate.

And I'm betting all this real estate will be bought up as soon as it dries up... to be inevitably flooded again.

This is why you don't live in a poor coastal city/town. At least have the forsight to move inland and not just be blissfully ignorant just living tens of feet below sea level and then act totally devastated when your shit shack gets flooded and or washed away
