The conversation should have started with clearly defining what the 7 yr itch means

I had the 8 year itch. I wonder how many of these women have children in the marriage. I wanted a divorce!!! He said, ”NO! Why?”’ I said but you don’t make me happy anymore and these kids are driving me crazy!!! I’m done! He said, your not happy? It’s not about you but it’s about us. You were not happy when I met you!👀👀🤣🤣🤣🤣 He said no and I prayed and stayed and worked on us not me and now it’s been 26 1/2 years, the kids got grown and love, life, and marriage is soooo good. So happy my husband showed no pride in saying NO! The reward of having someone to love you no matter what is great♥️💯 Now I’m looking forward to grandkids, one day🥰

wow im not his mother i have to remind myself of this often because he will figure it out. she's right you will get upset because you start feeling like why I'm i the only one taking care of everything from his issues to his decision making.

I believe there should be a mental space, where both husband & wife remember that they're partners, but 1 whole unit. Keeping in the conscious mind the fact that they're side by side, and not to necessarily be in control, could change the dynamic of some of the issues. Acceptance was mentioned (which is good), but the husbands also have to recognize when they do things, which do not serve the wives any good.
