Queen News Of The World Tour 1977 - 35mm Film Footage5
Hey everyone, all of this footage I have compiled is from the recent 'Rock The World' TV documentary.

I managed to sync the DJGreg's remaster of Houston to the following film clips as they had no audio previously.

Not all of this footage is new as some of it belongs to the old Houston video but it's a vast improvement in quality!

I was so obsessed with Queen that in 1977 alone, I saw them in Inglewood, Long Beach and San Diego. I was 15 and my dad was cool enough to drive us to these shows. Still have my ticket stubs.

I've never seen film from this year with such clarity. I used to wish to see it this way. This is great.

20:35 - "We didn't get a penny in record royalties from the first 3 albums".
The 70's was the era of the great royalties rip-off, lots of UK bands were being fleeced by their management and by the big record labels. The rest of the money was taken by the taxman, with massively high tax rates. That Queen wrote and performed their best music in that crushing atmosphere is absolutely amazing.

I saw this tour. The great Freddie Mercury was a master at working the crowd! I also saw the Jazz tour. RIP Fred, there will never be another like you!

Saw this tour at the Boston Garden. Loudest rock concert I've ever attended. My ears were ringing for days after.

Today, 1991 we lost Fred, 1991 was a bad year for me, the friend that turned me onto Queen back in grade school died in a plane crash in 1991, he was a member of Reba McIntyre's band, (can't believe he went Country) if that & his funeral weren't horrible enough then Freddie passed, it was like the floor fell out from under me, the two were tied together in my mind. I was living in between Dallas & Houston & too young to drive so I missed this tour, so any footage from say 1976 to 79 is really special for me & I'm from Houston so this video from the Summit is great, someone out there has the whole video before it was edited, I pray to the Gods that they put the whole thing out, a full pro shot concert from 77, Brian tweeted last night about Freddie, Brian if your listening (not) please find this whole video & release it. We'll see you on the flip side Freddie & Joey.

Seeing this footage is truly amazing. I just hope we’ll be seeing a Queen live at the summit DVD release sometime next year. From the looks and sounds of it, there are possibilities. Every Queen fan knows that there are some gigs we would love to have see the light of day such as “Queen at hyde park ‘76”, “Queen hold court at earls ‘76” and of course “Queen at Houston tx ‘76”. It’d be nice to get an official release on them.

If this entire concert was filmed and the remaster is widescreen and crisp it should be released in theaters this Spring. It might make more money than Rami's film.
