  • 🎬 Video
  • ℹ️ Description
It's unusual to find us speechless but that's what happened when we visited the amazing underground city of Kaymakli. It really got the imagination going, how did they build something so amazing.

If you visit the Cappadocia region of Turkey then exploring one of the underground cities is a must and an experience you won't forget.

This is an amazingly awesome place.... it’s a wonder of the world. I was here with my husband’s family and they all went through this city but I sat out cause my back was out due to the heavy suitcases we had traipsing through some other countries before....but after watching your video I will go when we are there next time...I love how you describe things and throw in some humour. Thanks for sharing your video...

I think it's a good thing that you're stuck here in the pandemic. So we met you and loved you. Maybe you were just gonna pass by, but now you're family. Woo Hoo...

The underground city was the most amazing place I have visited. My favourite bit of information was learning that the big round stone door was “locked” by putting a small stone at the bottom to stop it being rolled open.An amazing place that I would encourage anyone to visit.

I went there with my wife in 2013 and managed to do about 4 levels down and then panic set in (claustrophobia) and I had to fight way past other tourists to get to the surface!!

Really impressive that they've covered their every need. Safety, communication, ventilation... and only 7% of it is discovered? What a great architecture project! Thank you for showing this to us. I hope to see these underground cities on my own one day 🌻
