Inside an Italy hospital overwhelmed by coronavirus

  • 🎬 Video
  • ℹ️ Description
Italy's death toll from the coronavirus pandemic has topped 9,100, making it the deadliest outbreak of the disease on Earth. Just like hospitals in the United States, doctors and nurses are clamoring to save lives with a minimal amount of resources. Christopher Livsay was given rare access to an ICU unit in Northern Italy and spoke to doctors there.

Each weekday morning, "CBS This Morning" co-hosts Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil deliver two hours of original reporting, breaking news and top-level newsmaker interviews in an engaging and informative format that challenges the norm in network morning news programs. The broadcast has earned a prestigious Peabody Award, a Polk Award, four News & Documentary Emmys, three Daytime Emmys and the 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. The broadcast was also honored with an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award as part of CBS News division-wide coverage of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. That's really sad and scary.

We should also be seeing the inside of American hospitals more, just to get a better idea how overworked they are, and to stay home.

I feel so sad for Italy. Such a beautiful country and I hope that things start to get better very soon. Italy is a much cherished county, sending love from England.

To stop this virus at its source please sign the petition on Change.org. ‘Place a permanent ban on wildlife markets’. Thank you

This breaks my heart, i mean it’s hard to really fight with this invisible enemy like I can’t even find a single hand sanitizer.I just pray to God to give us mercy and People now are calling His name for help and mercy which they almost forget when they are problem free. Now God is hearing us.These all shall Pass.

As for those who don’t stay at home! Who run outside and play! The police should arrested them. As for the penalty, let them do the volunteer to clean the hospital, bus stop, train station, old man houses and also to move the dead body from hospital to church or grave! This kind of penalty will give them a good education and also a good contribution to the country! If you don’t want to stay! Then please go and do the volunteer!
