Turkish drones Akinci and bayraktar tb3, will use local engines designed and manufactured by the engine manufacturing subsidiary, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
Selcuk Bayraktar, Bayraktar's chief technology officer, said on Thursday.
The new engine, manufactured by TUSAS Engine Industries (TEI), has the highest performance rate in its class globally.
The General Aperture Camera Targeting System, which will be mounted on that armed UAV, will be mass produced.
In the past month, Canada has suspended arms export permits to Turkey, over allegations that it used Canadian technology in the military conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
