I'm from the land of 🌀 Hurricanes ( Hawaii). I have always assumed that the part of the Mainland (we affectionately call it the "Mad-land"), known as Tornado Alley had all its homes built with basements or storm shelters. After working with visitors from these states, they tell me that not all or even half of the homes are equipped this way. Most of the people I spoke with said the shelters/basements added a lot $$ in construction costs.

I've never seen full footage of the birth of a tornado. I would have kept driving towards the first one because I would have thought it was just a dust devil. Good to know that's what they can look like when they are getting started.

It's all about getting as close as possible without getting destroyed. The dangerous thing is how sometimes you're already in the tornado and don't even know it.

I know this is asking a lot, but could you please include the time stamps of each tornado in the video? I heard that one whistling from 29:50 to 29:55, and I wondered if that wasn't the El Reno tornado? I'm asking, because I can't actually see these videos, so you have a blind audience. Keep up the wonderful work! I'm really loving these videos like this, because I get to revisit past tornadoes. Fantastic work by Justin and Simon!

What I find amazing is the sunny skies in the background of the tornado.

"Keep your eye on it, that's a big tornado"
What else would she be looking at?!?!?!😆

Skywarn wouldn't condone these types of behaviors. That's overly aggressive chasing and not mobile spotting. 😆 It looks like there might have been rash decisions involved. It appears that there was little good decision making in some of these clips.

That first clip scared me!! It was crazy to see a tornado literally like form from nothing and turn into a large scale tornado.
