Nicola Sturgeon: Sexism towards women in politics 'getting worse'

Nicola Sturgeon has been asked about allegations of sexual misconduct in Westminster, including those against SNP MP Patrick Grady.

"It's a massive problem and it's not getting better yet. In fact in some ways it is getting worse," the SNP leader said.

"I think social media has made it worse", she added, because people have greater access to women who are in the public eye.

She was also asked about the local elections, amid reports the SNP could have its 'best ever performance' next week.
