Tires are excellent for use in sub-pavement road grid reinforcement. The tires provide a strong grid filled with aggregate upon which roads are built. Simple solution, easily researched.

That place is not Mumbai, but Bhiwandi, an industrial hub, about 50 kilometres away from the city. As an Indian, I can confirm that water at 10:25 is being filled for personal usage and not construction purposes. 1.3 Billion people and therefore, life is fairly cheap here. And people like him are the ones mainly responsible for the exploitation of the bottom lot. Can't even provide basic safety equipment to the employees, and talks about the environment. It's high time that the educated younger generation makes it a point to think about the country, rather than making money out of people's misery.

In California they just burn them for a power plant and use scrubbers to clean the waste gas. Compliments to the Arab guy who looked cool wearing a suit at a tire dump. Like a movie scene, perched at the top of a hill and the wind blowing.

Best tyre recycling technology is with Danes and they would not share it with anyone. So moral of the story, World, ship your used tyres to Denmark.

I'm surprised that you don't cover the use of ground up tires in asphalt paving, which is done in the US.

If you really care about the environment, you would either share or at least license your technology.

The Danish company is doing neither.

It's easy to find the tire yard at Kuwait City. Just look for the huge black smoke plume SW of the city on google maps. The place is on fire.

I know that there is a company in Arizona that takes old tires and turns them into a new kind of asphalt to be used on the roads. it's longevity is almost twice of what is currently in use on most US roads and requires less repair as well.
